In addition to the recipe I have already posted, I like to do fun things with food. No, not that. Get your mind out of the gutter.
If I have eggs, I want to amp them up a little bit. If I have sugar free pudding, I want to take it to the next level. Same goes for drink mixes.
When I eat eggs, I have always thrown in a few cloves of crushed garlic. I love garlic. If they had garlic flavored protein shakes, I swear, I would stock up like there’s no tomorrow. I also like adding ground tumeric and cayenne to my eggs. Both have great anti-inflammatory properties and are very good for you. In addition, I always add pink himalayan salt to my eggs.
With puddings, I have had a lot of fun with extracts. I found a sugar free white chocolate pudding from Jello brand. It’s in the box, in powder form. To the white chocolate pudding mix, I add some strawberry extract and it is truly delicious! To the chocolate puddings I have added banana extract, peppermint extract, coconut extract, or almond extract — different times, not all of those flavors at once! YUCK!
I drink Acme brand sugar free decaf iced tea with lemon. I usually throw in a packet of Crystal Light lemonade. Or I will mix some Crystal Light Lemonade with a sugar free drink mix from Wal-Mart. I think it’s Cherry Pomegranate. So find what flavors you like and mix and match for a new creation.
Also with fresh brewed tea, I have mixed Celestial Seasonings Lemon Zinger with the Blueberry tea and added some Stevia packets. I also have some Peach tea bags that I want to use to make some peach tea & I am thinking of adding some peppermint extract to that.
I think that I am at an advantage in a way, because I have been cooking since I was in 9th grade (I am now 37). I had to learn to cook because my Mom had shoulder surgery. I learned on my own, and for that I am most grateful. I love to cook and love being in the kitchen. I love to feed people! I love making them happy with food!
I hope some of these ideas will help!
Thanks for reading.
